"The media could…"

The media have a profound influence on public awareness and advocacy.  Whether you are a provider or consumer of news you can play a role in heightening awareness of boys’ underachievement and young men’s failure to launch.

If you are a member of the media it is important to keep in mind that the achievement and wellbeing of boys and young men ultimately affects all of us.  Whether your principal area of focus is education, health, sports, entertainment, religion, business or any number of other areas, they are all impacted by this issue.  Within virtually every story there is a potential angle involving boys and young men.  Our website contains a vast amount of background information.  For starters, go to our Facts and Figures section of our website. In addition, our Blogger, Facebook and Twitter pages are an ongoing source of timely information.  You may also contact us directly at mediainfo@theboysinitiative.org with your questions or suggestions for how we can help you, including how we can connect you with members of our advisory board, composed of the foremost experts in the field.
